The head of CCTV surveillance for this police force also said, "Viseum's technical capability is unquestionable. We always remember Viseum above anyone else for their main strength of listening to us to develop their innovation."

Fewer CCTV cameras, less police, more arrests with Intelligent CCTV

Intelligent CCTV endorsed by international law enforcement agencies

The advanced PTZ Cameras from UK based Intelligent CCTV Specialists Viseum has won the endorsement of the Metropolitan Police, who stated that just 4 Viseum cameras did a better job than at least 20 of any other type of advanced PTZ Camera. These results were achieved by deploying Viseum cameras in some of the UK’s highest crime areas, demonstrating the status of the Viseum Intelligent Panoramic Security Camera as the ultimate versatile PTZ Camera.

This narrated presentation shows what the Viseum IMC Panoramic Camera is, how intelligent CCTV works and what other Viseum Product Solutions can deliver security using this 360° Security Camera.

In making its endorsement, the Met Police said, “Viseum camera moving automatically is one of its key advantages in crime-fighting and this allows these cameras to be in constant use.” The Met Police also praised the availability and receptiveness of Viseum’s customer support. It concluded that it would use Viseum whenever it required CCTV.

International law enforcement successes with the Viseum PTZ Camera:

Project 1 – Only 1 Viseum camera for  3 weeks

There are a number of projects in which the Met Police has had success with the Viseum Intelligent 360 Security Camera. One of them involved a group of suspect drug dealers. They were dealing drugs and organising fights at a known location. The camera’s easy to use playback facility allowed vital information to be gathered. This led to their arrest and later conviction. There have been no sightings of the gang members or their associates in the area since the operation.

Project 2 – 3 Viseum cameras for 1 month

Another project involved a suspect who was sexually assaulting females on a public common. There were no lamp posts with power adapters for the CCTV deployable cameras. Installing 3 Viseum cameras outside the common gave the solution. They automatically watched the many areas leading into and away from the area. This allowed the vast area to be covered. The PTZ Camera on each unit allowed for complete close-up coverage. This led to the arrest and charge of a man for multiple offences of sexual assault.

Evidence from Viseum cameras also helped to identify a vehicle that a gang had been using to steal motorcycles. The vehicle was later found abandoned and was examined for intelligence on the gang prior to being crushed.

Project 3 – 2 Viseum cameras for 1 month

Another project involved the arrest of a suspect known as the ‘Slit Throat Robber’.  He was committing his crimes in an area that was in a CCTV black spot. Viseum cameras were able to easily cover the area. They collected intelligence on pedestrian traffic. This got the suspect to be arrested with a victim identifying him from images seen from Viseum’s video.

Latest project

Another recent project has involved a number of suspects targeting a well-known food and off-licence store. The suspects got away without being caught because of the sites complicated layout. Viseum cameras were used to gather the maximum evidence with minimal equipment. During the installation of the first unit, a suspect had walked a circuit of the area. The Viseum camera immediately noticed him and automatically followed him.

Intelligent CCTV Solutions

There is a wide range of potential applications and environments for cameras. More organisations are looking for intelligent CCTV solutions that can provide security everywhere at the same time. Providing the ultimate long-term crime deterrent and automatically producing CCTV evidence. Many are also looking for a solution that is cost-effective in light of the recession. Due to an international patent, the solution for these needs is being produced by only one organisation – Viseum UK.

The success of Viseum cameras was praised by the international law enforcement agency. This shows the potential value of the Viseum camera in a range of settings. Of particular appeal to businesses is the camera’s mobility as demonstrated by the Met Police. This means that less money and manpower is required to operate, compared to all other competing camera systems. This is great help to businesses given the pressure of restricted budgets.

The Viseum Intelligent PTZ Camera simplifies permanent and temporary deployment options. It is designed for populated open space or for non-populated multiple or single attack intruder environments. Each Viseum Intelligent Moving Camera (IMC) consists of the Intelligent Panoramic Security Camera and an advanced DVR camera controller. The Viseum IMC can be configured and purchased for entry-level or full panorama coverage, and can protect any open space, from a close proximity area the size of a small garden, up to a large open space the size of 4 Olympic Stadiums, in all directions and at the same time. Extreme long-range camera solutions are also available which make use of thermal and radar technologies.

Stuart Thompson of Viseum said, Viseum PTZ Cameras have delivered strong performance in situations where there is a need for CCTV. Viseum’s multipurpose PTZ Cameras have now won the approval of international law enforcement agencies. Combined with our high standard of technical support, the Viseum Intelligent PTZ Camera is the complete CCTV solution.”

The latest high-profile endorsement for Viseum Intelligent PTZ Camera. This further demonstrates its ability to respond to a range of security and surveillance needs. Making it a serious consideration for anyone.
