Viseum UK forecasts strong financial growth despite the recession

Viseum UK are specialists in AI situational awareness technology. The Board reports continued growth through a period in which much of the sector contracted. The company survived the worst economic downturn in a generation. It then grew beyond expectations. Strong further growth is forecast.

Viseum UK’s success rests on two things. The first is its intelligent monitoring Video Content Analysis (VCA) software and unique video surveillance PTZ Camera designs. This combination makes the company attractive to buyers who need high security. Money has become tight for everyone, but this has helped Viseum prosper. Budgets have been cut. Buyers are now more demanding. They want systems that deliver both value and results. Fewer security cameras that work make more sense than many cameras that do not.

“Success is not about more AI surveillance cameras. Police forces currently spend many millions of pounds each year reviewing evidence. Retrieval and review can take many hours. The footage often cannot be used, because the incident did not happen directly in front of the camera. Police forces that use Viseum report a clear result. Four redeployable Viseum cameras operate independently under one police surveillance operator. They outperform at least 20 standard redeployable AI surveillance cameras. Each of those standard cameras needs its own operator to watch and control it.

By not relying on traditional UK monitoring infrastructures, Viseum UK bridges the gap between manned surveillance and unmonitored UK video surveillance schemes. Low running costs and autonomous operation make video surveillance affordable again. This opens it to the wider community. Viseum UK has grown as a result. For example, Viseum has also been at the forefront of Community SafetyWatch. Viseum’s modelling indicates that the community safety service could deliver material savings to individual local authorities in crime-fighting overheads, and larger savings nationally. The saving comes from lower costs of crime and antisocial disorder.
