Direct Comparison with Manned Services

Equally, this is from some publicised case studies of Viseum Intelligent Moving Camera (IMC) installations operating automatically and standalone. They were in direct competition with 24/7 monitored camera installations. In these cases the monitored cameras did not capture the incidents. But the Viseum 360 Security Cameras captured all reported and many unreported incidents. Viseum caught all serious offences, public disorder incidents and misdemeanours. They also supported intelligence gathering resulting in convictions, public disorder injunctions, community evictions, criminal cautions, proof of false accusations, compensation claims and Public Disorder Enforcement.

Viseum’s Surveillance Performance encouraged the security industry’s media to publish facts about the Viseum camera. In practice, they do this to clear up crime for the UK’s most challenging hot spots. Installations were chosen where several years of crime reduction initiatives had previously failed. Even 24/7 manned cameras hadn’t made any difference. Viseum’s results attracted international TV and newspapers.

Field tests with Viseum IMC installations integrated with manned services

Case studies of 7 Viseum camera installations. Also, manned monitoring infrastructures had 5 of these integrated with their 24/7 monitoring systems. The remaining 2 were completely standalone. Viseum installations captured all 3 reported major incidents. Viseum also captured and helped clear up 47 unreported incidents. These incidents included serious offences, public disorder and intelligence gathering. This resulted in 6 cautions, 3 arrests, 1 disorder injunction, 1 fine and 1 criminal gang restriction.

Surveillance Performance Results

Overall, these unreported incidents were captured by Viseum IMC Cameras. Incidents that would not have been captured with any other manned or unmanned camera solution.

The major result of this study clearly identifies the new market that the Viseum cameras were designed to deliver. Viseum’s Innovation automatically performs better than ‘24/7 manned’ cameras by not relying on monitoring infrastructure.
