The unchallenged casualties of any CCTV schemes are the many public areas where crimes are displaced to.
Now that the availability of remote monitoring infrastructures and its associated costly communications are no longer the deciding factors, on how or even if some open space areas are protected effectively by CCTV, more locations can be protected without increasing operational costs.
